My name is Dona Pilar de Vasquez y Cortez. I am the widow of Sir Paolo de Vazquez y Cortez. He died in battle while surviving as a knight under King Phillip the Second.

My Good friend Isabella has taken me under her wing. Her husband is the Spanish Ambassor to England. She is traveling on her husband’s Request. She asked me to accompany her in her travels. I accepted since this would be the only way I can travel. No lady can travel unaccompanied.

This will be my first time to see the Queen of England.
