I, Bess of Hardwick, 6th Countess of Shrewsbury, am the daughter of John Hardwick of Hardwick and Elizabeth Leake. I survived three husbands.

I am now married to George Talbot, 6th Earl of Shrewsbury. We have been married since 1567. He was a widow with 6 children and I, a mother of 6 children as well. We move between our houses in Sheffield Castle, Sheffield Manor, Wingfield Manor, The Lodge of Baxton and my own house, Chatsworth ( My favorite of all ).

I am a Lady-in-Waiting to Her Majesty. She requested that I come with Her on progress as She wants some of her most trusted with her during progress. I, of course, am very happy to do as Her Majesty wishes.
