Jenifer McDonald
Her involvement with volunteer and non-profit organizations includes both general membership and administrative roles. She has sat upon the board of directors for the Naples Little Theatre and the Showboaters, as well as the Washington, Virginia, and Maryland Garden Railway Society, Inc., of which she is a charter member. She has performed the roles of secretary, treasurer, and president for these organizations. Most recently, she held an honorary position with Prince William Community band as part of their marketing/community outreach committee. Jenifer is very active with Greyhound Rescue, Inc. When not busy with Renaissance activities, on any weekend you can find her, her husband, and their two greyhounds at one of the many greyhound Meet and Greets scheduled about the Northern Virginia community. Jenifer’s conviction is that her “soul” purpose is to find loving forever homes for retired racing greyhounds. It is this calling that inspired her to create her own living history troupe, Her Majesty’s Hounds, to educate and entertain the public about the history and modern plight of the greyhound breed, as well as to provide adoption related resources. Jenifer has conducted extensive research into the historical lives of those associated with England’s Royal Buckhounds. She portrays several women related to the Mastership of the hounds while participating with St. George, having joined in 2004. Mrs. McDonald lives with her husband of twenty years, Scott, their cat Nutmeg, sun-conure parrot Mango, and two greyhounds Izzy and Killian, in Woodbridge, Virginia. She is employed as a Program Technical Manager for General Dynamics in Fairfax. When she is not working, with greyhounds or Faire, she is pursuing a degree of Naturopathy with Clayton College of Natural Health. This site best viewed at 1024 x 768. Last updated:
