Lynn Peverill is an elementary school art teacher in Fairfax County, Va., where she has been working for thirteen years. Lynn and her husband, Lou, live in Prince William County, and she has two grown children.

Lynn attended the College of William and Mary, where she majored in Elementary Education, although she had a minor in Theatre Arts. She also has an endorsement in Fine Art, and is currently working towards a Masters in Art Education.

She is no rookie when it comes to performing in front of audiences, as she has been a costumed hostess in Colonial Williamsburg, and has also worked for the Division of Performing Arts at the Smithsonian Institution. As a history buff, the colonial era was always Lynn's favorite—until she went to her first Renaissance faire. When the Virginia Renaissance Faire first opened, Lynn was one of the original members of the Queen's Court as the Countess of Essex.

Historical costuming and contemporary fashion design have always been her passions, and she truly loves the challenge of creating garments of the sixteenth century that are as historically accurate as possible.

We are very fortunate to have Lynn as part of our group for the never-ending assistance that she gives to us as we strive to make our own costumes, yet does it with humor and a vast amount of good will.
