I am Ann Howard, Lady Paulet, 3rd Marchioness of Winchester. Some of my dear friends refer to me as Agnes. I am the eldist daughter of William, first Lord Howard of Effingham, and granddaughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk. I was raised by my father and my stepmother, for my Mother died when I was very young. William Paulet and I married when I was in my late teens and we have 8 children. When we first married we were very much in love, but as the years have gone by, Willliam has become a bit more distant. This could possibly be do to the fact that I am a practicing Catholic and it makes it very difficult for William when dealing with matter with the Queen, or it could be he's just become more interested in his writing's and the ongoing task of enlarging "Basing House" our home.

My children are of the ages now that I have decided to leave them, temporarily, with their Nanny to go on progress with Her Grace to become more intuned with what is going on with matter of State to see if this will bring William and I closer together again. He has become such a pompass ass it's hard to care if we spend time together or not, but the Queen will not allow us to divorce.

Being the highest ranking woman on progress, gives me a chance to serve the Queen in many ways and we have become much closer, even though she is not fond of me being Catholic, she accepts me as a friend. I will see where this progress leads me and stay as long as her Grace would like my presence. And I will try not to cause too much trouble while I am here.
